Greenland – Travel Agents Services

Iceland Saga Travel, LLC (IST) and its subsidiary Greenland Saga Travel, is pleased to work with travel agencies throughout the U.S. to provide our expertise and booking services for clients wishing to visit the countries of the North Atlantic – Iceland Greenland the Faroe Islands.

IST develops and implements customized itineraries and escorted tours for travel agents to offer to their clients. Fly/drive and escorted tour packages including air, accommodations, tours and/or rental cars are included.

Commission: IST pays variable commission rates based on the type of services purchased. Agencies must provide the IATA number.

Payment: IST will accept agency checks or checks issued to Iceland Saga Travel, LLC by agent's client for payments. IST payment policy includes a 50% deposit within 10 days of booking and a final 50% payment 75 days prior to departure. The agency may deduct its full commission from the final payment via agency check when full payment(s) are made with agency checks or wait for payment by IST following completion of the trip when the client makes payment.

IST provides travel insurance through Travel Guard International. Of course, the agency may handle travel insurance needs with its preferred provider.

Documentation: IST provides a detailed preliminary travel packet with an initial reservation confirmation, itinerary, invoice and informational pamphlets specific to the trip itinerary. The final packet will include details on travel instructions, directions and information on travel in Iceland and/or Greenland and/or the Faroe Islands, airline tickets, accommodations/tour/rental car/ferry prepaid vouchers, local airport transport tickets and maps. All documentation will include the your agency name, address and contact information

IST provides domestic US ticketing services but must include a $50.00 booking fee, which is non-commissionable. IST encourages the agency to handle all domestic airline bookings allowing for 3-hour connection time on outbound flights and a minimum of 2-hour connections on return flight connections. Some carriers servicing Greenland and the Faroe Islands still issue paper tickets.
